Found at the western end of Sullivan’s Island, our beachfront condo is one of the few older style structures. While visiting, you will discover the most incredible views of the ocean, downtown Charleston, and beautiful nightly sunsets. The condo is in a cottage built by the US government around 1913 that served as housing for enlisted female nurses that served at the Camp Moultrie Hospital (at the time located across the street). The 2nd floor unit has the best views in all of Charleston, as boats and ships enter and exit the harbor silently near the front yard. The beach is very good and swimmable, and because this unit faces SSW, the cottage provides amazing sunsets over downtown Charleston. The cottage is situated next door to historic Fort Moultrie which has many acres of lightly used grounds and paths that make for what seems like a private park. The beach to the east has no beachfront houses for over a mile as the maritime forest and trails make for a seemingly undeveloped island. Beach walks west of the cottage are fronted by historic island homes, views of Ft. Sumter, downtown and the Ravenel Bridge.
