Summary: I got the palm room at the back corner when I came. I’m glad they let me checkin before 4, like they originally told me. I checked in at 10. Could smell the cleaning product but the room wasn’t so bad but old. The only issue I had was that the next day, the WC got clogged after I used it. It was a terrible experience and it was my birthday 😭😭
I told the man at the front desk and he came and unclogged it with a plunger. I appreciate his niceness but I felt embarrassed and it was just weird. I believe it has happened previously with other guests so I was wondering why they still let that room out. Later, I went to meet him to change rooms and he told me it was a one time thing but I told him I think it would happen again. He eventually changed my room to one within the building called the captain’s quarter or so. That one was far far better so I was wondering why they would put me in the first one. Was actually offended. But thank God I asked for another room.
I appreciate their cleanliness and other than that first room experience, I’d say it’s a nice place, though old.

Summary: Quaint, old home that has been converted into a b&b style hotel. Quiet and a great location. Avalon is small enough where most attractions, restaurants, bars, and beaches are close by.

Summary: Was fine, stayed for 3 nights. First night there was a water leak from the ceiling. From the bath tub from the floor above being over filled, wasn’t a major leak just a consistent drip. Called the number and the guy came right away but was told they didn’t have another room to move us too so he threw a towel down and said that’s all he could do for now…. The water stopped after a bit but was still a little irritating. Other than that it was fine. Wondered if they would give us a discount or something for the inconvenience but nothing was offered….not a big deal. Close to town, staff was super friendly, and room was super clean. A little outdated but clean. Also while upon checking in was given a tour of the room and amenities by Amber, she was amazing! That being said I would more than likely stay there again.

Summary: It was walking distance to most restaurants and souvenir shops. The view at night or day was spectacular from the terrace. It was magical….. would definitely go back 😊

Summary: Older building very close to all. Enjoyable rooftop patio. Room was clean buy overall could use simple upgrades. Small but suitable. Priced appropriate but if I went back to Catalina I might look for a nicer accommodation.
