Enjoy a spectacular view of sunsets from the deck of our lovely Maine home. You'll look across our cove, Penobscot Bay, and spruce-covered islands as the sun sets behind the Camden Hills. Directly above the tide-line, you'll hear gulls, lapping waves, wind in the trees, occasional lobster boats hauling traps, and two or three boats clinking on their moorings in Bartlett's Harbor.
The quintessential Maine summer house is lovingly maintained and furnished with antiques, while also offering the comforts required today. Up the curved staircase is one bathroom with shower and four small bedrooms (one queen, two doubles, one single). Downstairs is one bedroom (2 twins), a full bathroom, TV area, living room area, dining area (antique oak table seats 8), and large kitchen.
For many years part of an artists' colony at Bartlett's Harbor, this house was named 'The Red House' (though now gray-shingled). It is one of three houses on the west side of Bartlett's Harbor, a cove perfect for rowing and exploring. Children love to search for mussels, starfish, shells, seaglass, driftwood.
