RECENT LOCATION OF TRAVEL CHANNEL FILMING! That's right, out of the blue we were contacted by the travel channel who loved the property and chose to film some footage here!
Watch the sun set over the water as you sit on the back deck of this beautiful, recently renovated home. A large sunny lawn slopes down to a private beach: kayak in the cove straight from your own beach, or just sit on the porch or by the fire pit enjoying the view. (We have two adult kayaks and two children's kayaks for your use). This clean, sunny cottage sleeps 8 in beds, one adult or two children in the fun, super comfy CorduRoy Nest chair that pulls out to a bed (located in the livingroom), 4 bedrooms including a brand new master suite upstairs with a master bedroom with big window overlooking the water, adjoining sitting room and full bathroom - a perfect quiet getaway for parents! Also a beautiful living room, sunny clean updated kitchen, fire pit, back deck with gas grill and a Clubhouse - an outbuilding next to the main house - with sofa, ping pong table, cornhole, darts mini fridge and games. Great hangout for the kids! (Clubhouse is not heated so just beware that in winter it'll be freezing in there.) Washer dryer in basement. High chair and pack n play in the house too. WiFi and smart TV. Beach Lane Cottage is located just minutes from the historic and picturesque village of Castine. Also a short drive to Blue Hill, and just an hour from the stunning Acadia National Park and the village of Bar Harbor. Maine Maritime Academy is also just minutes away, in Castine. Enjoy wireless internet, and a firestick through which you can watch a huge selection of channels like Amazon Prime, Hulu, CNN, Sports channels and more. This house has both heat and AC. I hosted a relaxing bachelorette getaway here for my cousin and her bridal party, and it could not have been more perfect. Combed the beach for sea glass, had a cozy fire, watched the sun rise and set over meals we cooked in the well equipped kitchen. Truly a blissful weekend. We all want to go back! "A gorgeous spot!
Our family time here was so special. We took full advantage of the absolute coziness of the cottage and games in the clubhouse and campfires at gorgeous sunset but the bay at our backdoor was above and beyond our expectations - loon calls, eagles, gulls, tide pools full of hermit crabs and periwinkles and mussels, driftwood, sea glass, Fort Point light! Fabulous! Acadia is just an hour away and there are many beautiful spots to explore around Penobscot Bay! We were very sad to leave and hope to return! Thank you for such a safe retreat!"
